Buisness<p>Apple CEO Tim Cook is placing significant investments on generative AI, and the tech giant has announced many job vacancies worldwide in the AI industry.</p>

<p>“We are looking for an individual with experience in applied machine learning research. The job description listed duties as “training large scale language and multimodal models on distributed backends, efficiently deploying compact neural architectures like transformers on device, and learning policies that can be customized to the user in a privacy-preserving manner.”</p>
<p>The potential directions for generative AI use in Apple’s products have been highlighted via job advertisements.</p>
<p>The tech juggernaut has been working on generative AI and other models for years, according to Cook.</p>
<p>He said that Apple sees machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) as vital core technologies.</p>
<p>Cook told CNBC last week that “and they are virtually embedded in every product that we build,” as the business announced solid earnings for the June quarter, led by greater services revenue that increased 8% (year over year).</p>
<p>Cook was cited as adding, “On a research basis, we’ve been conducting research on AI and machine learning, especially generative AI, for years.</p>
<p>Apple does not discuss generative AI much, and its quarterly report mostly omitted any mention of the technology that has captured the attention of the globe.</p>
<p>Apple has reached 1 billion paid subscriptions across all of the services on its platform, up 150 million over the last year and almost twice as many as it had only three years before.</p>
