<p>Throughout the most of the match, LA Galaxy dominated play and took the lead in the 75th minute thanks to a goal from Serbian attacker Dejan Joveljic.</p>
<p>However, things would start to change in the 87th minute when midfielder Mark Delgado made a reckless challenge that resulted in his second yellow card, sending him off the field and cutting the Galaxy down to only 10 men.</p>
<p>This turned out to be just enough breathing room for Miami, as Messi and Alba easily navigated through the left flank before the Spaniard finished with a brilliant pull-back into Messi’s path. Messi barely made it to the finish line before poking the ball into the back of the net with the outside of his left foot.</p>
<p>The moment brought back memories of the Barcelona team of the past, which had players like Lionel Messi, Jordi Alba, Luis Suarez, and Sergio Busquets at their peak. This nostalgia was shared by supporters and followers alike.</p>
<p>However, on this particular occasion, all four of the stars—who are far into their third decade—looked awkward and remained quiet for the whole of their encounter against LA Galaxy until they scored an equalizer.</p>
<p>“We were dominated in the first half and could have gone into the locker room behind,” Inter Miami head coach Gerardo Martino said during a news conference after the game.</p>
<p>“We demonstrated character after they scored on a counterattack,” he said.</p>
<p>After defeating Real Salt Lake 2-0 in Wednesday’s season opener, Inter Miami is now on four points. This season, they want to improve on their disappointing 14th place, or second-last, league finish from the previous one.</p>
