In February, dispatch shows a 13.63% increase while coal output records 11.83% rise

<p>According to the Ministry of Coal, output of coal increased significantly in February—by 11.83 percent—compared to the same month the previous year. This information was released on Tuesday.</p>

<p>The Ministry of Coal produced 96.60 million tonnes (MT) of coal in February, more than the 86.38 million tonnes (MT) produced in the same month the previous year.</p>
<p>According to Coal India Limited (CIL), the company’s output increased by 8.69% to 74.76 MT in February 2024 from 68.78 MT in the same month the previous year.</p>
<p>With a rise of 12.14 percent, the total coal output up to February 2024 has increased dramatically to 880.72 MT in FY’ 23–24 from 785.39 MT in FY’ 22–23.</p>
<p>Furthermore, coal shipment increased significantly in February 2024, rising to a noteworthy 84.78 MT. This is a noteworthy advancement over the 74.61 MT recorded in February 2023, representing a development rate of 13.63 per cent.</p>
<p>The ministry’s statistics also showed that Coal India Limited’s dispatch performed very well, increasing to 65.3 MT in February 2024 from 58.28 MT in the same month the previous year, or a gain of 12.05 percent.</p>
<p>With a rise of 11.08 percent, the Cumulative Coal Dispatch increased significantly to 882.44 MT in FY’ 23–24 from 794.41 MT in FY’ 22–23 over the same time.</p>
<p>The combined Index of Eight Core Industries, which showed a 3.6% gain in January 2024 over the Index of January 2023, was just announced by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry.</p>
<p>The industry with the most gain was the coal sector, whose output rose by 10.2% in January 2024 compared to the same month the previous year.</p>
<p>From April to January of 2023–24, its cumulative index rose by 12.2% compared to the same time the year before.</p>
